Good to know bar code changes on MQ

Manufacturers are transferring over to a longer barcode, also known as a DataBar bar code.  The longer code contains much more information than the standard UPC bar code.
This helps to ensure the proper product has been purchased and includes the expiration date.  This should mean less cashier scrutiny, faster check outs, and hopefully less beepage!  Retailers will have to update their POS systems to read the new barcodes, and the good news is it seems Target registers are already supporting the databar system.
